I made hot chocolate out of this almond milk using half a teaspoon of cacao in each cup. (you could also just use cocoa), and put the rest in overnight oats. Almonds are so nutritious and full of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin E, magnesium and calcium. This really took no effort at all and was a lovely treat. xx
1 Cup of Blanched almonds
Honey, dates, vanilla extract or maple syrup to sweeten it slightly.
Soak almonds overnight or for a couple of days.
Pop into a blender with 2 cups of water, and dates if using, and blend until smooth.
Pour blended mixture into a straining bag.
Leave to strain over a cup or jug.
Squeeze the last bit of milk out.
Taste and add a small amount of sweetener if you wish.
