About me

Hi, my name is Julie and I am a Registered Nutritional Therapist, Health coach and fitness instructor.  I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Physical Activity for Health and Clinical Nutrition and I am a graduate from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition.I spent 12 years working as a qualified health professional working in acute care including the operating theatre, anaesthetics and Accident  & Emergency before following my passion and studying Physical Activity for health, Clinical Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy.  I have also spent 2 years working on the National Diabetes Prevention Programs before starting my own practice. As a Registered Nutritional Therapist I am a member of the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) as well as the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), for which I am required to undertake regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as well as abide by a strict Code of Ethics.

I am also a REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals) qualified fitness instructor.

I can honestly say I love my work, and believe just making a few simple changes to your diet and lifestyle can make a huge difference to how you feel. My passion originated from a desire to feel my best and have an abundance of energy to enjoy my children and lead a rewarding and fulfilling life. Over the years I have made significant changes to both my diet and lifestyle, which has ultimately changed my life. I am now healthier and happier than I have ever been, free from the unpleasant symptoms that impacted my quality of life. It has not always been easy and with a young family and the usual pressures I understand the complexities and difficulties that can get in the way of reaching optimum health and feeling your best.

I totally believe mindset is the key to reaching your dreams. Change your mindset, alter your beliefs and you really can achieve anything. Being ‘healthy’ means feeling your best physically and emotionally, looking after your body and mind through balanced lifestyle habits. It is not about depriving yourself or pushing yourself to extremes. It is looking after your body and mind through a conscious awareness of diet, physical activity, stress management and relaxation in a completely natural and holistic way. Every day I am amazed at the ability of nutrition and lifestyle changes to restore health and increase vitality. I understand totally the desire to feel fit and healthy, feel confident in yourself, and be free from debilitating and annoying symptoms that impact your day to day life, as well as the barriers and struggles that hinder that change.  Ultimately everybody wants to feel good, feel their best and be able to achieve their goals and aspirations.
I know this is what I want!!
